Three Years Degree Courses : (Arts Stream)

The Semester System was introduced by Gauhati University from the Academic Session 2011 – 2012. As a result of the introduction of the Semester System, the Three Year Degree Course (TDC) turned into a Six (6) Semester System completed in three Academic Sessions. An Academic Session contains two semesters each semester being followed by a Semester-End Examination that is held at the end of the semester.

In accordance with the system, a student is required to take two compulsory subjects in semester I & II and III & IV semester. In addition to the compulsory subjects, a student is required to take two elective subjects.

Study Centre of KKHSOU

The college has a Study Centre under Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU)  offering courses in distance and open mode. The Study Centre started functioning from the 2016 and has been successfully catering to the needs of aspirants willing to pursue higher educational goals in distance and open mode.

The Study Centre at present offers B.A. Courses in 8 (eight) subjects and M.A. in 5 (five) subjects respectively.  Mr. Shashadhar Kalita, Assistant Professor in the department of Economics, is the Co-ordinator of the  Centre.
